Here at Reisdorf Writing Service, we work with health and wellness companies both big and small. We have clients with huge marketing departments and big budgets. We have solopreneurs who just need some help connecting with their ideal customer.
But, the bottom line between all of these types of clients is that they need help creating content. They don’t want to waste time with writers who are not subject matter experts or are not-so-great writers. This is where our team of health writers comes in.
Our goal is to provide high quality content, written by subject matter experts. We want to provide your site with the expertise and authority you need, while also creating a compelling message for your customers.
How do we get started?
The first step for you is to review some of our existing samples. You can see the type of writing that we do and get a feel for our expertise.
Questions to Ask
If you have never hired a writer before, you may want to check out this article about questions to ask when hiring a freelance writer.
A few things that we will want to discuss on the call:
- What are your goals with the content?
- Who is your ideal client?
- What is your timeline?
- What is your budget for this project?
- Do you require a writer with specific nutrition expertise?
- If you want SEO-optimized content, do you know what keywords you are targeting?
- Any other editorial guidelines you might have.
Once we get an idea of the type of content you are looking for we can send you a proposal and a quote for the project.
Common Client Questions
Here are a few common questions clients ask and the answers to these questions:
What is your turn around time?
This can really vary on the project. We aim to return articles under 1000 words in 7 business days. For edits we request 72 hours. For longer articles or other types of projects, the timeline will vary.
What is your rate?
Project rates vary greatly depending on the scope of the project. Our standard rate for articles starts at $250 for 500-700 words. Recipes, food photography, SEO research, or other types of content will all be quoted on a per project basis.
What is your writing process?
The first thing we will do is determine the scope of the project.
If you are looking for articles, we will begin by agreeing on topics. Our team can make suggestions about “hot” topics in nutrition that might work for your website or you can assign topics you are interested in tackling.
Depending on your need for SEO, we will then identify keywords to use in the article and the optimal length of the articles. Some clients have already selected the keywords they are looking to rank for. Either of these is fine.
Each one of our writers has a specific expertise in nutrition, so the writer with the most relevant expertise will be assigned the article. Clients can ask for a specific writer or if the topic is more general, it will be assigned to whichever writer is available.
Before the writer begins they will need:
- Editorial guidelines (if you have them)
- Desired format for references
- Links to be included in the article
- Any specific topics/sections you want covered
The writer will then write the article and submit the first draft. It is edited by Ana, our head editor, then submitted to the client. All contracts include 2 edits.
We can provide original images or stock photos for an additional fee. You are responsible for posting the article to your website.
Do you do ghost writing?
This is up to the client. We have many clients who are health and wellness professionals and want their names on the content to help grow their expertise. Other clients want to leverage our expertise to help increase authority of their brand. Either way works for us!
Can you get my site on page 1 of Google?
No, we cannot guarantee this. If anyone says they can, that is not true. We do have demonstrated SEO results that we can share.
Here are a few examples:
- We took Sadie Wells Health from 9 visitors a month when we began working together in November 2019 to a peak of 1835 visitors a month.
- This article about protein before and after a workout, published in July of 2020 is now ranking for over 2200 keywords with 100 in the top 10 search results.
- Our client Wellness Verge launched in December of 2020 and is already ranking for almost 700 keywords and climbing.
Our writers have the expertise to provide search engine friendly articles to help you move up in rankings. Using our expert credentials on your site, tells search engines that you are creating reputable content that helps increase your E-A-T.
How do you get paid?
Once the project is complete, you will receive an invoice. Most clients pay via Paypal or Stripe within 15 business days. Larger clients have their own payment terms and we can work within those terms.
